Lizzie Hill
Dr Lizzie Hill PhD RPSGT EST FHEA is a Clinical Scientist with over 20 years’ experience of working with adults and children with sleep disorders in clinical and research settings. She is currently a Senior Lecturer in Sleep Physiology at the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol), where she leads the PGCert Sleep Medicine programme, commissioned and funded by NHS England to address the skills gaps in clinical sleep services.
Maria Gardani
I am a Lecturer in Clinical Psychology at the School of Health in Social Science at the University of Edinburgh since 2021. The primary focus of my research is the application of psychological theory and methodology to explore the onset and maintenance of sleep and circadian difficulties across the lifespan and their association with mental health and well being in addition to physiological and environmental factors. Ultimately, the aim of my research is to design sleep intervention programs to improve sleep and mental health outcomes.
Michael Adair
Background in nursing originally, medical and mental health. The latter part nursing career was with the CAMHs team at Guy's Hospital in London. Left nursing to do a social work degree, and worked as a neurology social worker at Great Ormond Street. Moved to Edinburgh and worked as a social worker for children with disabilities for City of Edinburgh Council. It was then I trained as a sleep counsellor and role which I have maintained with various levels of intensity for over 20 years. Moved to the voluntary sector working as a social worker and trainer at Epilepsy Scotland. Qualified Cognitive Behaviour Therapist, Practice Teacher in social work. I've been a trainer for over 15 years. Specialities: Epilepsy; Mental Health; Food Mood and Behaviour.

Tracey Clarke
Tracey Clarke, Advanced Paediatric Sleep Practitioner, Sleep Counsellor, Sleep Awareness and Sound Sleep trainer and Learning Disability Nurse. Tracey has over 31 years’ experience working for the NHS supporting children and adults with additional needs. She is passionate about implementing and lecturing on supportive sleep processes.
