Sleep Counselling for Children and Young People (SCQF accredited)
Sleep Counselling training equips you to improve the sleep of children and young people with additional support needs and support their families with strategies to feel happier, healthier, and more confident.
As a Sleep Counsellor, you will run a Sleep Counselling service for children and young people with additional support needs such as autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, sensory processing difficulties, cerebral palsy, mental health challenges, or epilepsy.

Sleep Counselling for Adults
Sleep Counselling training equips you to improve the sleep of adults with learning disabilities and complex support needs through tailored and person-centred interventions applying cognitive and behavioural principles and techniques.
Adult Sleep Counselling training is designed for experienced health and social care professionals supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex support needs in a variety of care settings.

Sleep Awareness
Sleep Awareness is designed for professionals who work day-to-day with families and caregivers of typically developing children. This training is also suitable for practitioners working directly with young people under the age of 18 with no additional support needs.
As a Sleep Advisor, you will carry out a sleep assessment and create a tailored sleep plan for the family or young person to put into practice.
Sleep Awareness helps build confidence in offering practical, informed sleep support in everyday settings.

Sound Sleep
Sound Sleep empowers teachers and support staff to deliver sleep education as a key component of the health and wellbeing curriculum.
Sound Sleep training provides delegates with a comprehensive understanding of sleep and the tools to maximise pupils’ potential by promoting a happier, healthier school experience through sleep education.
Sound Sleep is suitable for primary and secondary-level education.

Other courses for professionals
For many adults seeking therapy, sleep is a significant issue and appointments with therapists and counsellors are often the first time that the issue is discussed. This course is aimed at Psychological Counsellors and Therapists with little or no knowledge of sleep who are working with adult clients and looking to integrate sleep support into their practice. With an improved understanding of sleep, you will be able to discuss sleep issues and recognise how mental health issues may impact sleep in this population. For many children and young people, sleep is a significant issue and appointments with paediatric medical staff are often the first time that families raise the issue. This course is aimed at professionals with medical knowledge and training, including paediatricians, GPs, health visitors, OTs, Physiotherapists etc. Our training is grounded in the latest research, built on evidence-based practice, and tried and tested for over 27 years. For many people in prison, sleep can be an issue. This may be a pre-existing issue, or develop due to their setting. Developed in conjunction with the Scottish Prison Service, the course will provide a good knowledge of sleep, as well as an introduction to the principles of good sleep practices and how to apply those in a prison setting. With an improved understanding of sleep, you will be able to discuss sleep issues and recognise the various factors that may impact sleep in this population.
