Most of our sleep counsellors are professionals who work in health, social work, education, or other charities supporting families and carers of children with additional support needs.
A few of our sleep counsellors are also volunteers, sleep counselling in their own time. They may work in pairs and incorporate sleep counselling into their existing jobs.
With the family’s agreement, information may be forwarded to relevant professionals working with the child, such as the GP, social worker, or head teacher. By doing this we are better able to support a family when multiple agencies are involved or if there are any child protection concerns.
If you’re a professional interested in training as a sleep counsellor, please go to our Training pages for more information.
