Why Allan trained with Sleep Action
- When supporting a five-year-old who refused to sleep without a parent, Allan recognised the emotional weight bedtime carried as the child’s anxiety escalated when left alone
- Allan knew he needed specialist training to better understand and respond to sleep anxiety in young children
- He learned that when the child did fall asleep, they woke again seeking a parent – Allan saw the need for strategies that would support children to stay asleep through the night and took the whole family’s experience into account, helping parents feel confident and supported
How it transformed Allan's practice
Since completing Sleep Awareness training, Allan has been able to guide families through bedtime challenges with greater confidence.
Allan’s sleep training knowledge of childhood sleep disorders, behavioural techniques, and how to interview and support parents made a tangible difference.
For the family, bedtime shifted from being a battleground to a peaceful, positive part of the day. For Allan, it reinforced his role as a compassionate, capable specialist who families trust when sleep becomes a struggle.
